Founded by two friends who recognized a critical need: to take our future back from plastic, who are passionate about sustainability. They saw that even joyful occasions leave a trail of waste, and they set out to change it. Mind the Wrap was created to offer a brand that provides certified compostable packaging and household essentials, making celebrations and daily life environmentally responsible and guilt-free. The Problem
An estimated 1.7 million tons of plastic end up in marine environments each year and they don't just "end up" there; they become lethal traps. Marine animals, like the sea turtle mistaking a plastic bag for food. This plastic also breaks down into microplastics and nurdles, which are consumed by small fish and then passed up the food chain. Over 90% of seabirds are now thought to have plastic pieces in their stomachs, and plastic microfibers have been discovered in the stomachs of deep-sea fish.
